Doing Relays for Fitness!!!!

For the past few weeks 

Rm 9, Rm 10, Rm 11 and Rm 12

have been doing Relays for Fitness.

Rm 9 have been coming  1st 2nd 3rd and 4th

Taking Their Chromebooks Home!!!!!!!

On Tuesday the 24th of November some of my friends family's came to Room 9 to see their We Videos so they can take their Chromebooks home for two days. Their parents had to come and meet our teacher Miss Ginders and Mrs Grant.

On Wednesday the 11th of November Ruapotaka School went to the movies for the Manaiakalani Film Festival. We had so much fun watching all the Movies that the other schools made.

Scientists Have Been Released

                                      Room 9 did a science experiment on Wednesday. The experiment was about the water

cycle. We put shaving foam on top of the cup and then we had to put food
colouring on top. Then if the shaving foam can't hold the food colouring anymore
it rains and changed the colour of the water.

My Learning about Rainforests

                                          We have been learning about the rainforest so Miss Ginders made a template                                       in Google Slides that we could use with tasks that we had to complete.                                               We had to make slides to share our learning.

How to write a Quality Blog Comment

Room 9 has been learning how to write a quality blog comment using Room 9's criteria. Here is a screenshot of a comment I have wrote for Meana’s Blog. I have started my comment with a greeting and the author’s name. I have written a positive comment about the Magic Fast Five Netball Winners. I have made a connection by doing the same thing but a little bit different from her colors and her background color. I have asked her a question.

My Water Cycle

How Does The Water Cycle Work?

There is water all around you. When the sun heats the water it evaporates and floats into the air. The water turns into vapor  and then clouds. Then the wind blows backwards and forwards and blow the clouds around the world. Then after all of that it will rain or snow and all the rain and snow will fall onto the ground and then it will turn into water and do the same thing all over and over again.

Dear My Lovely Family

We have arrived here at Gallipoli by a brown rusty boat but it looked horrible when we arrived because all the dead bodies, dead hands on guns and flies on the dead bodies.

Everywhere I look all I see around me are people I don’t know or people that are dead and I really don’t like that but I know I need to deal with it.

I am enjoying the training that I am doing here and the letters you are sending me from home it is really kind and I love you guys and miss you guys.

The Best Netball Player

Kia Ora my name is Alicia and I go to Ruapotaka Primary School. I am 10 years old. I am a year 6. I like to play netball and soccer when I’m in school, and when I am out of school I like to play soccer, netball and basketball with my family. My favourite subjects at school are maths, writing, P.E. and reading. My favourite colours are yellow, black, red, green and white and my favourite foods are butter chicken, mince, stew and Mc Donalds.
